As enthusiasts continue to allocate shelf space for intricate Lego builds, a new set, the X-Mansion, has emerged, consisting of 3,093 pieces. This set is inspired by the X-Men’s headquarters, known as Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters or the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, which recently featured in the Disney+ Marvel series X-Men ’97 and has been a significant element throughout X-Men comics and movies. The Lego version reflects the location’s central role in mutant activities and its frequent targeting by adversaries.
Lego’s press release describes the X-Mansion set as an "immersive, creative construction project" targeted at adult Lego fans. Included are a buildable Sentinel and 10 familiar minifigures, five of which appear for the first time in a Lego set: Professor X, Gambit, Iceman, Bishop, and a new version of Jean Grey. Also included are Wolverine, Magneto, Rogue, Storm, and Cyclops. The set features "Cerebro, switchable Danger Room items, an exploding cupola, a motorcycle for Wolverine, and graphical nods to the iconic X-Men franchise."
Lego Insiders will have exclusive access to the set starting November 1, with general availability commencing on November 4. The set is priced at $330, but Lego Insiders making a purchase between November 1-7 will receive the Lego Marvel Cerebro as an additional bonus.
