Las Vegas Strip casinos are consistently extending the residencies of prominent performers, with engagements often reaching up to 100 shows or more.
Recently, several high-profile musicians concluded extended residencies on the Strip. Adele completed her 100-show “Weekends With Adele” series at Caesars Entertainment’s Colosseum at Caesars Palace, running from November 18, 2022, to November 30, 2024.
Country singer Garth Brooks finished his sold-out 54-show “Plus One” residency at the Colosseum on March 8. Similarly, Carrie Underwood concluded her 71-show “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” at the Resorts World Theater at Resorts World Las Vegas on April 12.
Rock star Rod Stewart ended his “Hits” residency at the Colosseum after 13 years and 200 shows on August 7, 2024. However, Stewart has committed to another series, “The Encore Shows Las Vegas Residency at The Colosseum,” with planned performances in March, May, and June 2025, already extending for additional shows.
Carlos Santana, who has held a long-term residency on the Strip since 2012, extended his “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live” series at the House of Blues, Mandalay Bay. Despite an injury that led to the cancellation of the first eight shows in January 2025, Santana plans to resume performances in May 2025.
Meanwhile, Bruno Mars has expanded his ongoing residency at MGM Resorts International’s Dolby Live at Park MGM by adding nine new dates in August and September. The residency will reach its 100th show, as scheduled, on August 22, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Mars, who launched The Pinky Ring lounge at MGM’s Bellagio Resort & Casino in February 2024, has been performing residencies at Park MGM since 2016.
The Las Vegas Strip continues to foster an environment where renowned artists extend their shows, attracting even larger audiences to the city’s entertainment scene.
