Mark Cuban Says He’d Collaborate with Trump Administration if Asked

Date:

Billionaire investor and “Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban, currently serving as a surrogate for the Kamala Harris campaign, emphasized his belief in prioritizing the country over party affiliations. Cuban expressed a willingness to assist former President Trump if Trump were to win the 2024 election and request his help.

Cuban made these comments during an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” where he defended his support for Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he views as the more pro-business candidate, despite their disagreements on certain tax plans and Harris’s proposal to abolish the filibuster. He stated that while he would be disappointed if Harris did not win, he would accept the election results due to his commitment to the nation over partisan lines.

He added that if Trump were to win again, he would assist as he did previously on initiatives such as health care and domestic production of personal protective equipment. He affirmed his stance by stating, “I’m America first.”

Throughout the interview, Cuban maintained that Harris is, in his view, unquestionably the better candidate for the presidency. He addressed concerns about Harris’s support for taxing unrealized investment gains, a policy he believes would harm the stock market. Cuban assured that such taxation would not occur, and he mentioned he would oppose Harris if she pursued policies he couldn’t support.

Cuban outlined his support for Harris’s proposals not to increase taxes on small businesses and her efforts to reduce prescription drug costs as beneficial economic measures. He also criticized Trump’s proposed mass deportation plan, arguing it would negatively impact businesses that employ immigrants.

Cuban has been actively promoting Harris since she replaced President Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket several months ago. Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been campaigning for Trump’s re-election. Both Cuban and Musk have appeared at rallies in swing states in support of their respective candidates.
