September EU car registrations drop 6.1% year-over-year, decline slows down.

On October 22, 2024, it was reported that new car registrations in the European Union fell by 6.1% year over year, totaling 809,163 units for September 2024. This decrease represents a milder drop compared to the 18.3% decline recorded in August, according to data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). Despite this decline in September, new car registrations for the year 2024 have shown stability, with a slight increase of 0.6% overall.
