DOJ Lawyer Criticizing Admin Over Maryland Deportation Placed on Leave

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has placed a senior immigration attorney on leave following criticism directed at the Trump administration regarding the erroneous deportation of a Maryland resident. Erez Reuveni, the attorney in question, represented the U.S. government in court concerning the deportation case of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia. Garcia had been mistakenly deported to a prison in El Salvador.
