Second Trump Term Promises Economic Progress for Black Americans

In 2019, President Trump appointed an African American as the Chairman of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), marking the first time an African American led a federal financial regulatory agency. The NCUA is an independent federal agency that supervises and regulates credit unions nationwide. Through this role, the Chairman gained a distinctive perspective on the effects of economic policies on African American workers, families, and businesses.
