Trump Administration Lays Off Most Institute of Peace Staff in Recent Purge

Over the weekend, the Trump administration reportedly terminated the employment of a significant portion of staff at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP). According to reports from the Associated Press, termination notices were sent to personal email accounts starting Friday evening. As a result, only senior officials and staff members located overseas remain employed at the organization, which previously had approximately 300 employees.
