Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the 13th installment in Ubisoft’s popular franchise, is set to be released on October 5th, a week earlier than originally planned. To help players determine when they can start playing, Ubisoft has provided global release times for both PC and console. In general, the game will be available in the early hours of October 5th, with some regions getting a head start on PC late in the evening of October 4th. Pre-loading is already available for Mirage.

For instance, in Los Angeles, the game will be playable on PC starting at 10 p.m. PDT on October 4th, while console players can start at midnight PDT on October 5th. Similar release times apply to other regions such as Montreal, London, Stockholm, Kyiv, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, New York, Paris, Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, and Sydney. It’s worth noting that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also be released on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Max Pro in the first half of 2024, although the exact release date is yet to be announced.

As the release date approaches, Ubisoft has urged fans to avoid sharing spoilers. Mirage follows the character Basim Ibn Ishaq, who was introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and promises a return to the series’ roots with an emphasis on stealth and linear storytelling. To learn more about the game, players can check out hands-on previews and interviews with Narrative Director Sarah Beaulieu. The successful early release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage marks an exciting moment for fans of the franchise eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Design-Build Remodeling vs. Traditional Contractors: Which One is Right for Your Project?

Date:

If you’re planning a home renovation—whether it’s a kitchen makeover, a home addition, or a full-blown basement remodel—you’re probably asking yourself: “Who should I hire?” The answer isn’t just about who does the work, but how the work is done. Two common models dominate the remodeling world: the traditional contractor approach and the design-build model. At BriWi Construction, we proudly follow the design-build process because it simplifies your renovation journey, ensures clear communication, and often leads to better outcomes. Let’s take a closer look at both models to help you decide which is best for your project.

What Is a Design-Build Contractor?

A design-build remodeling firm is a one-stop-shop for your renovation. One team handles everything—from initial design concepts and permits to demolition and construction. You’ll work with a unified crew of designers, project managers, and skilled tradespeople who collaborate throughout the entire process. At BriWi Construction, we’ve honed our design-build approach to make the renovation process seamless, efficient, and enjoyable for homeowners in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.

Comparing the Two: Design-Build vs. Traditional Remodeling

Feature Design-Build Traditional Contractor
Project Flow One firm handles both design & construction Designer & contractor are separate entities
Communication Streamlined, one point of contact Risk of miscommunication between teams
Timeline Faster, overlapping phases Often delayed between design & build stages
Budget Fixed-price bids reduce surprises Change orders and unforeseen costs are more common
Accountability One team owns the whole process Finger-pointing between designer and contractor is possible
Efficiency Design and build teams collaborate from day one Contractors may need to “re-interpret” the designer’s plans

Is Design-Build More Expensive?

PAA: Is design-build more expensive? Not necessarily. While design-build may seem like a premium service, it often saves money in the long run:
  • Fewer delays = lower labor costs
  • Reduced risk of costly change orders
  • Better coordination = less material waste
  • Fixed-price bids = no surprise charges

Which Model Is Right for You?

  • You’re comfortable coordinating multiple vendors
  • You’re doing a small, low-risk project
