April 24 NYT ‘Connections’ #683 Hints and Answers: Solving Tips

Date:

Connections is among the most popular word games from the New York Times, gaining significant public attention. The game involves discovering the "common threads between words." Similar to Wordle, Connections resets after midnight, and each new set of words presents increasing difficulty. Hints and tips are provided to assist players in overcoming these challenges.

For those who simply want today’s puzzle answer, it is available at the end of this article. However, for players preferring to solve it themselves, clues, tips, and strategies are offered here to aid in the process.

What is Connections?

The latest daily word game from the NYT has achieved viral status on social media. According to the Times, associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu played a crucial role in creating the new word game and integrating it into the publication’s Games section. Connections can be accessed through both web browsers and mobile devices, challenging players to group four words sharing a common trait.

Each puzzle includes 16 words divided into four categories. These sets may include anything from book titles to software or country names. Although several words might seem to fit together, only one correct solution exists. Successfully identifying all four words in a set results in their removal from the board. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with players allowed up to four errors before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate spotting connections. Additionally, each group is color-coded: yellow indicates the easiest level, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, players can share their results with friends on social media.

Here’s a hint for today’s Connections categories
