Brian Williams Hosts Live Election Special Streamed by Amazon

Date:

Amazon is positioning Prime Video as a central platform for election night coverage. The company has announced the streaming of a live election night special, hosted by former NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams. This event is scheduled to begin on November 5th at 5 PM ET.

Brian Williams will be joined by a lineup of guests, including notable contributors from various news and traditional media backgrounds. These guests will offer real-time poll results and commentary, drawing from a range of political perspectives. Amazon describes the program as an informative, accessible, and non-partisan presentation. The complete list of guests is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

There had been speculation about this show and Williams’ involvement as early as last month. This election night special is part of Amazon’s broader strategy to expand live programming on Prime Video. Previously, the company has broadcasted live Thursday Night Football NFL games since 2022 and plans to air numerous NBA games starting in 2025.
