Sony’s latest Days of Play sale has commenced, offering numerous discounts on PlayStation 5 consoles, accessories, games, and PS Plus subscriptions. Notably, the PS5 DualSense Edge controller has experienced a significant price reduction, dropping by 15% from $200 to $169, marking the lowest recorded price for this peripheral. The discount is available through Amazon and directly from Sony.
The DualSense Edge shares a similar design with the standard DualSense controller but includes additional features. It has function buttons below each thumbstick for switching button configurations, customizable in the PS5 settings. The rear features switches for adjusting shoulder trigger pull lengths and optional rear paddles, available as either levers or shorter half-domes.
Users can conveniently swap out the thumbsticks, which are magnetically attached. Options include standard nubs, short-stemmed convex, and long-stemmed convex alternatives. A cable lock is also included to prevent accidental disconnection of the USB-C charging cable.
However, the controller’s battery life is a notable drawback, offering about five to six hours of use per charge, compared to the six or seven hours from the regular DualSense. The package includes a hardshell carrying case, with a passthrough flap for charging with the controller inside.
The Days of Play sale also features other appealing discounts, such as a $55 price for the standard PS5 DualSense controller, which is $20 off the regular price.
