Lyma Laser: Achieve Clinical Results at Home

Date:

The Lyma Laser is gaining significant attention across social media platforms as a highly popular beauty tool. This portable cold-laser device is incorporated into the skincare routines of various celebrities and is designed for both home and travel use. It claims to address multiple skin concerns, such as wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation, all without the need for needles or bulky LED face masks.

The original Lyma Laser, featuring an 8-cm² treatment lens, was introduced in 2020. Recently, the more advanced Lyma Laser PRO, which includes a 30-cm² treatment lens for use on both face and body, debuted in the United States. Celebrities have expressed their approval of the product, with Hailey Bieber reportedly including it in her pre-Met Gala skincare preparation, and Carey Mulligan purchasing one as a personal Oscars gift, praising its effectiveness in diminishing a scar. The positive feedback online has sparked interest in testing its efficacy on tired skin.

Founded by former journalist Lucy Goff, the Lyma Laser is unique in the market as the first FDA-cleared, clinical-grade cosmetic laser that can be used at home. Initially developed as a medical laser to treat conditions like degenerated cartilage and torn tendons, it was observed to have a beneficial effect on skin, reversing signs of aging. However, the sophistication of this technology comes with a high cost, with prices listed at $2,695 for the Lyma Laser and $5,995 for the Lyma Laser PRO.

The Lyma Laser operates by emitting a 500-milliwatt “cold-laser” beam at a wavelength of 808 nanometers, which fosters cellular regeneration on 8 square centimeters of skin. Users can glide the tip across the face and neck or hold it in place on problem areas for three minutes at a time. The device is packaged in a luxurious box, including a USB charging dock, an information booklet, cleansing sponges, a carry pouch, and a 30-day supply of Lyma Oxygen Mist and Oxygen Glide. A copper membership card is also provided for warranty activation and access to the LYMA Power Circle for consultations and classes.

Before beginning use, a Zoom call with a Lyma Concierge offers customers personalized guidance. The representative suggests dividing the face into four sections for the initial 12 weeks, gliding the laser across each area for three minutes. Users can expect an immediate glow within one week and, with consistent use, more noticeable improvements in wrinkles and skin elasticity over time.

The Lyma Laser is praised for its discreet usage capabilities, allowing it to be used over or under makeup. While the accompanying gel is intended to enhance results, users may substitute it with their regular skincare products as needed. The Oxygen Mist and Glide are sold in pairs for $175 when replacements are required.
