Monzo CEO TS Anil Joins StrictlyVC London Lineup

Date:

StrictlyVC, a boutique brand associated with TechCrunch, is known for hosting intimate evening events that allow headliners to connect with live audiences. This series is scheduled to return to London on May 13, featuring a particularly strong lineup of speakers.

Among those taking the stage will be TS Anil, CEO of Monzo Bank. Under Anil’s leadership, Monzo Bank, a prominent digital banking institution, has played a significant role in reshaping the UK’s financial landscape. Anil, recognized for his global leadership experience, is expected to share his insights on the future of money, trust, and digital innovation.

A pertinent question regarding Anil’s participation is whether he will extend his perspective to the potential public listing of Monzo on the U.S. stock market, a move that could detract from the London Stock Exchange. This development must be considered alongside recent uncertainties linked to U.S. tariffs that might make maintaining operations in the UK more appealing.

Anil will be joined by other notable figures in venture capital. Sonali De Rycker of Accel, a London-based venture capital firm known for backing significant tech success stories, and Nazo Moosa, who recently became managing director and executive committee member at Paladin Capital Group, will also participate. Moosa, known for her expertise in cybersecurity and deep tech investments, previously served as an advisor to Paladin since 2017.

Additional speakers are expected for this event, and updates will be available on the StrictlyVC London page. Unlike TechCrunch’s larger conferences, the StrictlyVC series focuses on facilitating direct interaction and dialogue between attendees and notable personalities, allowing participants the opportunity to ask questions and glean unfiltered insights from leaders in the tech industry.

Previous StrictlyVC speakers have included influential figures such as Jay Graber, CEO of Bluesky; former FTC Chair Lina Khan; Tekedra Mawakana, Co-CEO of Waymo; and San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie. Additional past participants include Sam Altman of OpenAI, Sequoia Capital’s Alfred Lin, Ryan Petersen of Flexport, and Kirsten Green from Forerunner Ventures, among others.

This forthcoming StrictlyVC evening in London promises an engaging conversation covering leadership, innovation, and the critical issues impacting the next wave of tech development. Those interested, including startup founders, venture capitalists, and investors, are encouraged to attend. Prospective attendees are advised to secure their seats promptly, as space is limited, for the event on Tuesday night, May 13.
