New Pokémon Game Update 2.0.1 Causes Crash for Scarlet and Violet Trainers

Date:

A new bug has been discovered in Version 2.0.1 of the base game of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, following the release of the DLC update in September. According to reports, the bug can cause crashes during the final boss battle against the Paradise Protection Protocol. The crash occurs when players call on their legendary Pokémon, Koraidon or Miraidon, from slots four, five, or six in their party. It is strange that this bug has only appeared in Version 2.0.1 and not in earlier versions of the game.

Nintendo Wire, the source of this information, thanks the players who reported the crash and helped in understanding how to replicate the issue. It is hoped that Game Freak, the developer, will release a patch to fix this bug soon. In the meantime, players can use a couple of workarounds to avoid the crash. They can either have “three or less” pocket monsters in their party or avoid highlighting boxes four, five, and six. Any updates addressing this problem will be shared with the players.

Overall, this bug in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 2.0.1 is causing crashes during the critical final boss battle against the Paradise Protection Protocol. It only occurs when players call on their legendary Pokémon from specific slots in their party. Despite the bug being present in the latest version of the game, reports suggest that it was not present in earlier versions. Players are encouraged to use workarounds such as having fewer Pokémon in their party or avoiding the affected slots until a patch is released. The developers have been notified about the issue and players hope for a prompt resolution.
