Lenovo, the parent company of Fujitsu, has unveiled the latest model of its lightweight laptop, the Fujitsu Lifebook WU-X/H1. Priced at 154,800 yen (approximately $1,040), the laptop is a successor to the previous model, the Lifebook WU-X/G2, and weighs only 30g more. The previous model was hailed as the world’s lightest laptop, weighing just 634g, even lighter than Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The new Lifebook WU-X/H1 weighs 689g, making it an incredibly lightweight option for professionals.
The Fujitsu Lifebook WU-X/H1 competes with some of the best enterprise laptops due to its versatility and connectivity options. However, its biggest selling point is its extreme lightness. Despite being 7g heavier than the previous model, it still outperforms other laptops currently on the market, such as the Fujitsu FMV UH-X 4ZR1L13925, which weighs 868g. Additionally, the Lifebook UH-X/H1 features an Intel Core i7-1355U processor, Intel Iris X graphics, up to 32GB RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage.
The laptop also offers excellent connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, Bluetooth 5.1, and various ports such as microSD, USB-C, DisplayPort, USB-A, HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It boasts an approximate 11-hour battery life and charges up to 100% in just over two hours. Despite its impressive features, the laptop is only available for purchase in East Asia, limiting its accessibility to a wider market.
