Top Stocks on Wednesday: Costco, Micron, Hayward, Nucor – Keep an Eye!

Costco’s stock initially fell in premarket trading after the company reported quarterly revenue and adjusted same-store sales that were below expectations. However, the stock managed to recover and rose by 1.8% in early trading. The bulk retailer’s performance is keeping investors and members guessing as it strives to meet market expectations.

Hayward Holdings experienced a significant boost in its shares of over 7% due to its inclusion in the S&P SmallCap 600 index. The pool-equipment manufacturer’s recognition by S&P Dow Jones Indices marks a positive development for the company, leading to increased investor interest.

Nucor Corporation saw a 3.5% rise in its stock price following the announcement of a partnership with Helion Energy. The collaboration aims to construct a power plant that utilizes nuclear fusion technology to produce steel. Nucor’s investment of $35 million in Helion, with backing from OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman, indicates the industry’s exploration of innovative methods to shape the future of steel production.
