Inmate Ronald Caillier escapes hospital by overpowering officers in Colorado prison.

In a daring and dramatic prison escape, a Colorado inmate named Ronald Caillier managed to overpower two officers, flee a hospital, and steal a neighbor’s minivan, all while being handcuffed. The escape took place at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, where Caillier made his bold breakout from the emergency room late at night. Despite being shackled, he was able to overpower a deputy and a security officer before running off into the night.

During his escape, Caillier carjacked a white 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan that had been conveniently left unlocked with the keys inside and a 9mm handgun beneath the driver’s seat. The stolen minivan had damage to the passenger side door and a cracked rear-view window, adding a level of danger to Caillier’s escape. Police have issued a warning that he should be considered armed and very dangerous, emphasizing the urgency of locating and apprehending him. The two officers involved in the escape were treated for injuries but have since been released, while Caillier remains at large, wearing black and white striped pants and an orange t-shirt, with his hands cuffed in front of his body.
