Apple releases update fixing text bug in iOS 17.3.1.

Apple released an iOS 17.3.1 update with a minor bug fix for iOS and iPadOS. The new update comes a few weeks after Apple released iOS 17.3 with Stolen Device Protection. The bug that was causing text to unexpectedly duplicate or overlap while typing has been fixed in this new update. Users can download iOS 17.3.1 and iPadOS 17.3.1 on eligible iPhones and iPads over the air by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

There are also several other major Apple updates in the works, including iOS 17.4, which is set to be released in March. The update will include major App Store changes in the EU, Apple Podcasts transcripts, SharePlay for the HomePod, and new emoji. Additionally, Apple is preparing for the launch of the next-generation CarPlay later this year. Furthermore, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that iOS 18 could potentially be the “biggest” software update in the iPhone’s history, marking it as a significant update for Apple users.

Looking ahead, it is rumored that Apple is testing slim camera bump designs for the standard iPhone 16 models, with the latest prototype featuring a vertical camera arrangement with a pill-shaped raised surface, as well as a new “Capture Button” for the iPhone 16 lineup to emulate high-end camera functionality. These updates show Apple’s continuous commitment to improving its devices and providing users with innovative new features.
