Game Director hints at difficult Hard Mode and challenging Post-Game Content.

Team Ninja’s upcoming 19th-century-set action game, Rise of the Ronin, promises to challenge players with a hard mode option called Twilight that is comparable to the combat difficulty of their previous titles. Development Producer Fumihiko Yasuda and Producer Yosuke Hayashi emphasized that veteran players seeking an extra challenge will feel right at home in this intense experience. Beyond the main story, players can look forward to engaging post-game content that offers additional challenges to keep them entertained even after the credits roll.

In Rise of the Ronin, players will have to navigate through three major cities as they guide the Blade Twins through their intertwined story. The access to these locations will be tied to player progression, ensuring a specific order in which areas are unlocked. Along the way, players will encounter a diverse array of enemies, each employing different combat styles and weapon affinities. The game offers players the opportunity to strategize and customize their approach based on the weapons and combat styles available to them.

With Rise of the Ronin launching for PlayStation 5 on March 22, 2024, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo aim to provide an experience that caters to a wide range of players while still offering a challenge for those looking to test their skills. The pre-release version of the game showcased a rich narrative and a variety of engaging activities for players to enjoy. As fans anxiously await the game’s official release, they can anticipate a blend of intense combat, strategic gameplay, and a customizable experience that will keep them immersed in the world of the Ronin.
